Narutaki mine iro tomae #804
Large dense and colorful tomae, a life times worth of sharpening
media. This tomae has on the top surface flashes colors that range
from blue, purple, red and pink to green and yellows that all come alive
when wet. This top bands layer is about 8-10mm thick, then comes
a 16mm layer of intense eggplant aubergine and at the base to what
looks like another multi colored layer similar to as seen on the top.
The Narutaki mine provided some really thick stones in the early
20th century, the mine was within 1/2 mile from the Nakayama site just
up the valley so some features are like the cloudy or foggy surface
patterns shared by both mines.
All of my stones come with a tested tomonagura slurry stone.
The toishi has been lapped perfectly flat, the sides dressed and the
corners and edges beveled unless otherwise noted. All of my stones
come with a money back guarantee minus the return shipping.
