Kokurayama iro tomae #741

Kokurayama was a small mine on the outskirts of Kyoto beyond the
Arashayama area in what is called Saga. They closed their mine in the
1950s and their production was for the wholesale market, you can see
another Kokurayama stone
HERE with a Hatanaka Toishi Co stamp on it.
This stone is very pure and from one of the shallower layers, it makes
an excellent pre-polish stone with fast cutting grit.

I will supply a tomonagura with this stone.
The stone (toishi) has been lapped perfectly flat and the corners and
edges beveled unless otherwise noted.  All of my stones come with a
money back guarantee minus the return shipping.
