Umegahata odd shaped tomae koppa #731

This koppa has a nice shape as a hand held stone, thick enough and wide enough.
The color looks like a kiita but it is more like a form of yake with are alternate minerals
that give it a toasted look. True kiita stones will slurry yellow, this stone slurries white.

I have shave tested this stone and it is definitely a razor quality stone although there
is an open inclusion that runs diagonally across the middle of the stone that might
produce grit flakes that could scratch the blade. This inclusion might stop
about 1mm below the surface as seen from the side.

The stone (toishi) has been lapped perfectly flat and the corners and edges beveled
unless otherwise noted.  All of my stones come with a money back guarantee
minus the return shipping.
