#658 Unknown mine asagi razor hone

I do not really know which mine this stone came from but I have
tested it with a vintage Henckels razor and was not surprised
to find that it is truly of razor of superior quality, that it
provided me with HHT-5 results very quickly which gave me
a very comfortable and close shave. It is thick and dense, I believe
it is fromone of the Honyama mines, and one that may have had
access to a deeper strata like the Oozuku or the Narutaki mines.

The back has been lapped flat and the coloration is influenced
from the skin or kawa that was lapped off. I found this to be a
double sided stone, the back was more aggressive and really
prepared the blade to be finished on the front side. This coloration
is not deep and you will wear through it but for now it is a fun ride.

The stone (toishi) has been lapped flat and the
corners and edges beveled unless otherwise noted. All of my
stones come with a tested and appropriately sized tomonaguara
slurry stone, and a money back guarantee minus the return shipping.
