#484 Narutaki uchigumori suita bench stone
Dark and dense this lifetime uchigumori is the perfect stone for knives and
tools as a finishing stone because of its abilities to work with a
wide variety of carbon and stainless steels. The stone is hard enough
so that a tomonagura or diamond plate slurry speeds up the process
but for the polishing phase the stone will work on its own just fine.
When wet the suita is green with streaks of blue, the su voids are very
small and scattered across the top surface. The back was flattened
with an adz is it sits stable on a table top but will also fit into most
commercial stone holders. Very dense it weight 1250 grams.
The stone (toishi) has been lapped perfectly flat and the corners and
edges beveled unless otherwise noted. All of my stones come with a
tested and appropriately sized tomonaguara slurry stone, and a money
back guarantee minus the return shipping.
