Shobudani hard tomae #278

An ultra smooth and hard tomae from the Shobudani mine, this stone has
a faint yaki rust pattern that is not toxic to steel in any way and is indicative
of overall hardness in many stones from the Shobudani Yamashiro area.
The light gray body with faint dark gray areas similar to karasu seen on
the sanded side of the stone eventually transitions into a darker gray layer
at the very back of the stone. I have shaved with a vintage German, Crown
& Sword razor that was honed on this stone and the shave was very crisp
and bright with no irritation of any kind.

The stone (toishi) has been lapped perfectly flat and the corners and
edges beveled unless otherwise noted.  All of my stones come with a
money back guarantee minus the return shipping. This stone will be
shipped with a tested tomonagura slurry stone.
