Ohira suita with renge #245
A large light almost white colored suita from the Ohira mine, I am guessing that this
stone was mined in the 1960s-1970s. It is full of renge from front to back, side to side
and all in all the composition is very even. Not a super hard suita it is in the 4+ range so
that is will self-slurry to some extent. This is a tool size stone but it can be used as a
pre-finisher for razors or a finishing stone for tools of all kinds. The thin suji lines are
solid and not toxic but there may occur some minor flacking at times.
All of my stones come with a tested tomonagura slurry stone.
The toishi has been lapped perfectly flat, the sides dressed and the corners and edges
beveled unless otherwise noted.
