#1190 Okudo hard gray tomae

A hard gray or sometimes called blue asagi tomae awasedo
that came from either the Okudo or the Oozuku mine. A classic
size with lots of years of fine honing. There is one edge with a
bit of bias grain pattern seen in the bottom photo below. It
looks to me that it is isolated to just that one edge so it should
not be a problem with razor work

I tested this stone with a vintage full hollow Wade & Butcher
Sheffield razor from the 1890s and with slurry made with a diamond
plate the razor came up to shave ready in just a few minutes.
I have priced this stone moderately based on that small area
of bias layering.

The stone (toishi) has been lapped perfectly flat and the corners
and edges beveled unless otherwise noted.  All of my stones come
with a tested and appropriately sized tomonaguara slurry stone,
and a money back guarantee minus the return shipping.
