#1144 Okudo green asagi tomae
One of my favorite types of stones, the green asagi always
easier to use than the harder gray tomae strata stones. This
particular asagi has the foggy or cloudy pattern seen on many
of the Nakayama stones, the kawa however suggests the Okudo
or Oozuku mine. On the back you can see some kawa and
the stone is undercut at this end, still lots of life left in it but
over the next 20 years of so the stone will become shorter and
the price reflects this issue. An excellent kamisori or straight
Thie stone (toishi) has been lapped flat and the
corners and edges beveled unless otherwise noted. All of my
stones come with a tested and appropriately sized tomonaguara
slurry stone, and a money back guarantee minus the return shipping.
