#1143 Okudo green to gray asagi tomae
This green very hard asagi is going to over the course of
100 uses or so turn into a gray/blue stone. It is now a kind
of dull asagi green and that layer seems to be about 1mm
thick. The character of the stone, cutting, hardness, fineness
and so fourth will not change with the color shift, this change
is more about the color of the clay and not the grit.
It is very hard and smooth and fast cutting. Shave tested
with a Henckels Friodur to HHT- 5 status.
Thie stone (toishi) has been lapped flat and the
corners and edges beveled unless otherwise noted. All of my
stones come with a tested and appropriately sized tomonaguara
slurry stone, and a money back guarantee minus the return shipping.
