Okudo tomae #1120

An Okudo stone with a surface color of olive green with a faint kan or tree
ring pattern. This stones core will gradually reveal a slightly darker green as
you can see from the side and the back photos, but it should remain a similar
hardness and consistency. The the top surface is super smooth and is ink
stamped to the upper right SHO HON YAMA AWASEDO (Original true
mountain sharpening stone), and to the center left OKUDO (Okudo mine).

There are and should be noted, and the price reflects this, some condition
issues. The first is at the top left corner of the stone, this corner looks to
have received  a compression impact where the stone has suffered with
multiple cracks leading out and away from that corner as you can see in the
bottom photo. The second issue is some bias grain delamination on the back
of the stone in the central area. Probably both of these areas could be
stabilized with cyanoacrylate super glue, but it will be up to the buyer to make
that decision.

This stone is being sold AS IS so there is no money back guarantee on with
this stone.

The stone (toishi) has been lapped perfectly flat and the corners and edges
beveled unless otherwise noted.  All of my stones come with a money back
guarantee minus the return shipping. This stone will come with a tested
tomonagura slurry stone.
